98000 km on the clock only. Engineered with a 4.0 litre engine and 276.0kW of power, reaching speeds of 100km/h in 5.6 seconds!.
This was my wife's car in Hong Kong from 2013 to to 2020, which she used to drive 15 minutes each way to work.
In early 2021 we imported the car into Australia so that we would have a car here when we visited family on holidays.
We retired in 2023 and have used the car sparingly since.
We have now sold our home and downsized to an apartment where we have a single carpark available.
So we have kept our more practical four door Jaguar and are regretfully selling our XKR.
In Hong Kong we always had an annual service package with the Jaguar main agents and since importation to Australia with independant Jaguar specialists.
We are the third owners and have the Jaguar service history from 2007 to 2013 provided to us by the second owners.
There are about 140 pages of service history for the car dating from 2007 to the present.
The car is in very good condition especially the paint.
Exterior and interior are all original and while in very good condition do show the minor blemishes associated with a daily driver.
Regards,
Michael Bridges
1968 Jaguar Daimler 250 Turner V8 (restored)
The Daimler 250 represents a pivotal moment in British luxury motoring, bridging the gap between Jaguar's sporting heritage and Daimler's refined tradition.
Launched in 1962 and produced through the mid-1960s, the 250 was the company's answer to the demand for a more accessible luxury saloon, powered by a 250 cubic inch V8 cylinder engine paired with an automatic transmission.
This 1968 example received a comprehensive mechanical inspection and attention in 2022-2023, encompassing engine, suspension, mountings, seals, the fuel tank was removed and re-lined, new fuel pump installed, and this car is a genuine survivor of its time.
All bodywork has been stripped back to metal, inspected, treated as required before receiving a quality re spray. Doors, bonnet and boot were removed, treated separately from the main body.
Documentation for all parts and work completed is available with vehicle. Also in the vehicle, is the original Service booklet, Owners Manual and other original documents.
The white paintwork holds an excellent gloss across visible panels, other small chrome parts were replaced to further enhance the finished work.
This four-door, 5-seat sedan presents as a solid example of mid-1960s British craftsmanship.
The extremely original interior with its leather seats and door panels (no splits or holes) and the timber trim shows age-appropriate patina consistent with a vehicle of this vintage and mileage.
The odometer reads 26,772 miles, suggesting this is a low-mileage original vehicle that has been carefully preserved.
The automatic transmission and rear wheel drive configuration deliver the smooth, effortless driving experience Daimler customers of the period expected, whilst the 250ci V8 cylinder engine provides adequate performance for relaxed cruising in the classic British tradition.
? Why the Daimler 250 V8 Holds Value
? Queensland-Specific Notes Since you're in QLD:
? Non‑Obvious Insight The Daimler 250 V8 often sells for less than a Jaguar Mk2, but well‑informed collectors know it’s:
This means values are quietly rising, especially for clean, original cars.
The relatively low recorded mileage adds appeal for a buyer seeking a usable classic with potential for further gentle restoration or preservation as-is.
The vehicle is offered unregistered with no known faults and no encumbrances.
Asking $25,000.00 or near offer.

The car is garaged at Tamborine Mountain.
The car has been standing for about 5 of it’s 10 years since we bought it.
The previous owner converted to Dual fuel pumps but didn’t install pre filters in front of them with the result that debris
flowed from the tank to the original pumps which failed, the passenger side tank has been cleaned out and a new pump fitted.
this resulted in a fuel hose failure at the injection header and we decided that further work would probably be unwarranted
as we are not likely to use the car in the future.
The car is located in Hervey Bay at 67 Hillcrest Avenue Scarness 4655.
As the car will have to be moved via trailer or truck we are only listing it at $3000 neg in case an enthusiast would like it as a project or for spares
