Originally JLRA senior executive car now with me only the third owner. 46 000 Klms. Owned since 2017 and only 15 000 Klms since. Stunning motor car already very collectible.
I just don’t get to use it now as much as I would like so best to let it go.
1972 E-Type Series 3 Manual Fixed Head Coupe
Chassis Number IS51210 Engine Number 7S5764SB
British Racing Green with Cinnamon Trim. Registered XKE53L till February 2026.
Delivered new by Bryson’s Sydney in November 1972 and owned by me for 35 years since purchase in 1990, then with just under 60,000 miles recorded.
The car was very original and sound both mechanically and bodily but in need of cosmetic restoration. In late 1990 Graeme Lord was given the task to restore it to Concours condition. It was stripped back to the body shell with engine, gearbox, all suspension and interior trim removed exposing some rusty panels in the bulkhead and engine frame. All of this was fully repaired and repainted. All other removed items were either re-plated, painted, or powder coated, and all rubbers and bushes replaced along with a new wiring harness and stainless-steel exhaust system. Graeme overhauled the engine including new head gaskets and bearings and any other engine items where necessary. He also serviced the gearbox and restored both front and rear suspensions and brake system as well as completely restoring the under body.
The interior trim was completely replaced by renowned WR Gentle trimmers in Sydney to full authenticity making it then in effect as good as, if not better than, a brand-new E-Type.
As a result, at the Jaguar National Rally in Melbourne in 1991, it won the E-Type Class outright and came fourth overall behind three fully professionally restored XK’s.
The car has been maintained in excellent overall condition and would have to be up there with the very best Series 3 E-types with now only 71600 miles recorded.
Driven only sparingly now and should go to a new owner who will savour all it offers.
Offers around the $165000 mark will be considered.

Offered for sale for the first time in 25 years is this example of a very well kept and maintained 1992 XJ40 Daimler.
This Daimler has been based in country NSW for the last 25 years. The Daimler has done 198,170 kms.
The kms put on the Daimler in the last 25 years are all country kms. Always garaged. Washed weekly and well maintained.
This vehicle was owned by my Dad. He was an enthusiast who owned and worked on a number of XJ6 Jaguars before acquiring this Daimler.
When Mum and Dad retired and started their caravaning phase about 12 years ago, the Daimler saw very little use and sat in storage in their garage.
Dad recently passed away so we are now selling the Daimler.
The Daimler’s blemishes are the hood lining is dropping away, veneer around the gear stick is cracked and the vehicle drops a tiny amount of oil after the motor has been running for a while.
Apart from this, the vehicle is in excellent condition.
The Daimler is available for inspection at St Lucia, Brisbane. Please call Anthony, 0413 324 426, if you have any questions or to arrange an inspection.

- Oil filter – XK120 at least – still has some of the original brown paint on it. Tecalemit part no. FA2690, takes filter element FG2421.I could not see a whole assembly like this offered elsewhere, and getting the various parts might cost some hundreds. My price A$125.- Horn, an aftermarket item, marked RVB Products which was a Melbourne manufacturer of a few automotive items. Again might have come from my first XK120. Say $15?- Front side light housing repair section, to be fitted and painted. I bought this item from Bill Lawrence (UK) around 1981 for my XK120 FHC.…
