Register your interest now - Our next E+F-type Register Drive and Breakfast is Friday 6th February, 2026.
This is a short notice event. My E-type has returned from the past two events on the back of an RACQ truck. We now believe the vehicle’s worries are fixed and this drive is to confirm I can get home without RACQ assistance. I will explain the two truck deliveries to any interested attendees on the day.
This event will welcome both the faster drivers and also the members who prefer to travel in a convoy.
We are travelling west out of Brisbane with a 10 minute (read toilet - meeting) stop at Esk before travelling onto Toogoolawah for breakfast.
We will meet out of Brisbane at Redbank Plaza at 5:45am for a briefing at 5:55am and a 6:00am departure. We expect the convoy to be at our breakfast location around 7:15am.
As you all know, I don’t like filling the inboxes of members not interested in an event, so this will be the only email you receive inviting you to register.
This event will be shown on the club website so members with “Club Plated Cars” are welcome to attend, so long as you abide by all TMR Rules.

Please check your diaries now and if available and interested, register ASAP by return email but certainly before COB Monday 2nd February, advising attendees names and if you would prefer the Redbank Plaza, Esk or Breakfast venue to meet up with us. Please do not just turn up without registering, as the cafe is told the number attending and has staff and produce there to cater for us.
I will then share breakfast location, drive details only with members who have registered after the RSVP date.
If you are bringing another car other than the one you have registered with me, kindly give me the manufacturer, year, make, model, body colour and number plate when you register, as it is just too hard to register all these details on the day.
Every JDCQ event attendance must be shared with our Club Historian who collates the annual member awards for attendance.
Look forward to your registrations.
If for any reason you no longer wish to receive E+F Type Register Drive invitations, kindly reply back advising the same and you will be taken off the invitation list.
Regards,
Tony Nelson

2008 Jaguar XF Luxury Sedan
2700cc turbo diesel
Registered until 13/04/2026
Owned since new and purchased at Jaguar in Glasgow(UK). Shipped to Australia approx 2012.
The car has not been driven for approx 6months and needs some work.
Main issues include minor body work damage/ cracked windscreen/coolant issue with engine/battery needs replaced / charged. Several other smaller issues.
This would be a nice project for someone as the car has very low mileage for its age (approx 78,000 miles).
Happy to consider offers.

- Oil filter – XK120 at least – still has some of the original brown paint on it. Tecalemit part no. FA2690, takes filter element FG2421.
I could not see a whole assembly like this offered elsewhere, and getting the various parts might cost some hundreds. My price A$125.
- Horn, an aftermarket item, marked RVB Products which was a Melbourne manufacturer of a few automotive items. Again might have come from my first XK120. Say $15?
- Front side light housing repair section, to be fitted and painted. I bought this item from Bill Lawrence (UK) around 1981 for my XK120 FHC. Bill was the most highly regarded XK body parts maker in the UK at the time. Same part used for XKs and saloons. Price guides I could find were close to about A$300 - needing to take account of postage/freight and Aus GST on buying from overseas.. Asking price here: $100 each.
- XK120 muffler: to the best of my recollection I bought this as NOS from Brysons a very long time ago. Stored since. Say $25?
- XK120 rear tail light housing. Alloy. Left side. This is not chromed but should be chromed or (for a few cars) painted body colour. It looks to me to be in pretty good shape – should re-chrome well.
Chromed repro parts like this are about A$450. Pric here say $120.
