JDCQ Constitution and By-Laws

The JDCQ Constitution has not been properly reviewed for some years. Over this time there have been changes in the way the JDCQ operates and in the technology of communications.

A thorough review has been conducted by a specifically formed sub-committee over the past few months.

Attached are the reviewed JDCQ Constitution and By-Laws dated for November 2016. Also attached is the previous JDCQ Constitution for comparison though the formality used for adopting the revisions within is not known.

During the review of the past few months, extensive reference was made, not only to the previous JDCQ Constitution but also to the Incorporated Associations Act which must be complied with and the Model Rules issued by the Office of Fair Trading to all incorporated associations.

The Constitution review sub-committee considered many thoughts and opinions on the content of these documents. If you wish to be informed of how any particular clauses were derived, or if you consider that there is need for further review of certain phrases, then please contact me, preferably by email for ease of further communication.

These 2 documents will be put before the members at the AGM in November for adoption pending the required ratification by the Office of Fair Trading.
