Interested in contacting the
International S-Type Register
The following is the text of
an e-mail received 27-Nov-00
The International ‘S’-type Register 'S'-type Register is run as a
non-affiliated Registry of Jaguars 'Best Sports Saloon' – the 1963 - 1968 3.4
& 3.8 'S'-types. There is no cost to 'S'-type owners for registration.
We maintain details of the cars in a Register that is available to all
owners. Since starting the Register two years ago we have received details of
over 110 cars from the US, Canada, England, Holland, Switzerland, Australia, New
Zealand and South Africa. We have over forty members from Australia and New
Zealand and would be pleased if you would list us as the 'contact' for 3.4 &
3.8 litre 'S'-types.
We send an 'S'-type-specific Newsletter every other month by 'snail-mail'--
Issue no. 14 will be mailed next week – so send you mailing address with the
details of your car - and more frequent e-mail Jaguar information on an 'as
written' basis. We ask for a US$10 contribution toward postage costs.
The Register also has a dedicated e-mail address: S_types@yahoo.com
To register a car we would like to have:
Chassis number
Engine number
Body number
Gearbox number
Original colours (exterior/interior)
Wheels (wire/disk)
Right/left hand drive
Factory options
Build date, First owner, etc.
and a 'potted' history including modifications, current colours, etc.
Cheers,
David & Patricia Reilly
