The speedo shows 75,000 kms. I believe this would be the second time it has showed this., as the car is in very good condition.

Unfortunately, there were no log books with it when I bought it a couple of years ago.

The interior is tidy, but showing signs of wear. The back of the rear seat is weathered and showing signs of cracking, although I have applied cream to it.

The car performs very well. The suspension is tight, the engine runs perfectly and the fuel system has been refurbished since I bought it. Tyres and wheels are good and all interior lining, carpets and trim is 85%. I have had the carbies rebuilt and fitted a new dryer to the air cond system. The previous owner put in a lot of effort and I really pamper it. The electric windows are a bit slow going up. The remote central locking and cruise control have both been removed.

1960 Jaguar MK2 4.2-Automatic

 

I have had this car for ` 30 years. It began life as a 2.4, then from 2003-2005, Tony ARDITTO (NSW), completed an extensive refurbishment, including installation of the 4.2 litre Compact (420C~1967), power steering, reconditioned transmission (MK2; 340BW) and upgraded discs all round (front discs including Volvo calipers).

SUPERLITE Mags & new KHUMO Tyres were added along with multiple other improvements to make the car mechanically very sound. Previously it had a new paint job in 2005, (following replacement with the best doors, bonnet and boot I could find in NSW), and a complete rework of interior seats, trims and wood panelling dash in 2000.

It is now QLD registered (personalized plates JAG 059 included), until May 2010. Mileage is 122, 000 and is infrequently driven as part of the Jaguar Club member registration. Running smoothly without any problems on local trips, although the last 18 months it has been driven at best once a month and has a new battery.

 

It is now offered for less than 25% of that spent over the last 10 years @ $13,000 (incl’ JAG 059 plates).

XJ6 Series 3 1985 14,136 kms since new!!

 

I personally imported this car after buying it when working in Hong Kong (21 years) with 8,750 km on the clock when it was 10 years old. It had 9,143km in the logbook when RC Grieve Jaguar complianced it in Nov 95. Another 5,000 km was added before taking  it off the road in March 1999 due to overseas work commitments. It has remained in storage ever since. I have a brand new set of 5 pepper-pot wheels for the car, still in their boxes. The car’s colour is Antelope (sort of bronze metallic) and has a matching Buckskin interior in excellent condition. I also have a well used but complete and driveable (long ago) 1979 XJ6 S3 for spares that would be part of the sale. (Both cars have no exhaust system aft of the manifold downpipes.)

The car is mostly perfect and rust free as far as I know. The  previous owners never lifted the bonnet and it shows. But a bit of diligent cleaning and selective attention would bring the engine bay up to a  very high standard quickly. Mechanically, it is still a new car, but hoses and seals would require attention no doubt with renewed use.

Being one of the lowest mileage XJ6 S3 cars in the world I imagine, expressions of interest are sought to prise this car out of its present ownership (buy one/get one free).

A looming big move and many projects are the motivation for this very reluctant sale.

1936 SS Saloon

 

The rare 1936 SS Saloon has a history dating from when it left the factory.

 

Finished in cream, with Jaguar red upholstery, the car was most recently fully restored in the 1990’s by an Engineer.  SS Jaguar world wide register.

 

I purchased the car 6 years ago and it must now make way for my next project.

 

The car has been regularly maintained by R.C.Grieves of Albion in Brisbane.

 

In the 1990’s it won ‘Best Car’ at Noosa.

 

Although not quite concourse now it is not far from it.  Driven regularly.

 

Previously advertised at $123,000 in Unique Cars, it was withdrawn from sale (to save it from nuisance tyre kickers). 

The price has now been reduced to a more reasonable sum of $98,000.

 

The owner will decide on whether or not to sell it to the prospective purchaser, as he wants it in the correct hands – someone who has the means and passion to keep this rare car safe and well maintained.  Inspection strictly by appointment only.

 

One of only two in Australia.  One other resides in the Transport Museum in Coventy, England.
