Only one thing stays the same – Change

Dear Member, 

The demographics of the Jaguar Club are changing and the Club is responding with new initiatives and a range of different activities that I hope you will find interesting, rewarding and fun. 

The Club now has a significant number of cars less than 3 years old, 56 as of September and in excess of 200 more that are less that 10 years old. What we are seeing is that there are a number of members who love Jaguar but are not into garage days and weekend runs and we are attempting to cater to all needs in a variety of ways.  

Jaguar Australia is also seeing a change in demographics in car sales with the X-Type and S-Type introducing younger buyers who have a life style that is different to the buyers of 10 or more years ago.  

In response to this Jaguar will undertake changes in customer relations and are looking to start promoting and inviting new owners to events such as theatre evenings, concerts and other social functions that match the lifestyle of the new owners. 

The JDCQ is also looking to hold events which will offer good value, opportunities to meet others with similar interests and a variety of events catering to the lifestyles of the younger members.   

Jaguar has offered the JDCQ to join with their events in Queensland and this will commence in 2007. However the JDCQ will run its own events next year and I personally invite you and your family to attend. 

The events in planning are

·        “Fine dining Friday” where a group of members will enjoy some of Brisbane’s better culinary pleasures

·        Weekend Wine tasting, where we will endeavour to find both Queensland and interstate vintages to add to your cellar.

·        Theatre nights and events – The aim is to organise discount group tickets and great seating.

·        Go-Cart racing

·        Driver training

·        Sporting events where we can organise a group booking 

I need your expression of interest, assistance and suggestions. It is your Club and if you would enjoy slot car racing, rock climbing or a night of theatre or fine dining we will look to run events to cater to these interests as long as we get the numbers to support this initiative.
