AC J C Report Australian Council of Jaguar Car Club ACJC September Meeting ACJC delegates met for a one day meeting on Sunday 9th September. Here are the key points from that meeting. ■ Jaguar AustraliaDorian Lapthorne, General Manager, Jaguar Australia, submitted a report on the current activity, including the situation regarding a possible sale, current product sales performance and details of the exciting new Jaguar XF. The full report can be viewed at www.jaguar-acjc.org.au ■ National Rally ReportsJaguar Drivers Club of SA reported on the highly successful rally held at Glenelg at Easter. Jaguar Car Club of Victoria gave details of next Easter’s rally programme in Geelong. These can now be viewed at www.jaguarnr2008.org.au The Tasmanian club advised that they had commenced planning for the 2009 Rally to be held in Hobart with the Display Day venue at Parliament House on the Hobart waterfront. ■ Concours JudgingThe Cavalcade to the Display venue is to be made a mandatory feature of the National Rally effective 2009. ■ The role of the ACJCAfter much discussion on the role of the ACJC it was agreed that the purpose and role of the ACJC should be more clearly explained on the ACJC web site. ■ Financial ReportThe ACJC is operating well within budget and as a result it will increase the Rally grant to $9000 effective 2009. ■ Appointment of OfficersBoyd Kolozs (WA) was appointed Chairman for the ensuing year Richard Crawshay (NSW), Secretary Mark Tuckett (Tas), Treasurer David McKnight was warmly thanked for his excellent contribution as Chairman for the last two years.
