A great day indeed was the RACQ Batteries
all-British Day, held in its traditional location, St. Joseph’s College
Sports Ground, Tennyson.
In recent years the skies above on
All-British Day have replicated dear old England casting cloudy liquid
hues overhead with chilly temperatures to match. However this year the
Queensland sun lived up to it’s reputation greeting all with blue skies
and hot conditions for this annual spring event.
The Jaguar Drivers Club of Queensland put
on a wonderful show with over 60 cars gathering together on display. The
club had at least one of each of the currant model range on display:
X-TYPE, S-TYPE, X350 and XK8.
Denis Stone’s beautiful SS100 was on
display creating much interest to all that passed by. A lightweight
E-Type known as “TOPCAT” also lined up for display, along with a Replica
D-Type. There were many wonderful Jags on display this year. Thanks to
all the JDCQ members that came and enjoyed the traditional Club
hospitality and spirit.
